Secure AI Labs is hiring for a Vice President of Engineering to join and oversee our growing engineering team. The VP of Engineering is part of the company’s Executive Management Team and will report directly to the CEO. They will work closely with the Product, Operations, and Customer Success teams to deliver the company’s next generation patient registry product. The person in the VP of Engineering role will directly and indirectly oversee the entire engineering team. Initially, they will manage the company’s team of 6 software engineers & data scientists, while actively working with the Recruiting team to grow the Engineering team to approximately 20 engineers, including data scientists, in the next 12 months.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Work closely and collaboratively with teams across the company to drive cohesive work on the company’s digital health product offerings

· Manage the engineering team’s execution of software development deliverables through daily stand-ups, sprint strategy, and collaboration with the Scrum Master

· Contribute meaningfully to Executive Management Team’s discussions surrounding company strategy, product development, and employee management and growth

· Collaborate with the Recruiting team to identify hiring needs on the engineering team, create job descriptions and interview applicants for open roles

 

Required Experience

· 10+ years of experience in software engineering

· 5+ years of management experience, with some experience managing partially remote teams

· Demonstrated expertise in implementing and optimizing software development processes for output and collaboration

· Track record of sourcing and hiring top engineering talent

· Strong ability to communicate technically complex material to audience with differing levels of technical knowledge, including customers

· Experience in Agile and Scrum process

· Experience implementing SaaS solutions

· Working knowledge of data science tools and workflows

 

Preferred Experience

· Experience building Digital Health products

· Experience building high-scale computation systems

· Experience building data dashboards or other analytical systems

· Experience building mobile applications

Enterprise Platform Architect

The Secure AI Labs team is looking to hire a full-time Enterprise Platform Architect. The person in this role will act as an individual contributor responsible for platform designs and engineering implementation processes. The Enterprise Platform Architect will act as a trusted advisor for the leadership team at Secure AI Labs, helping to ensure the high quality and security of our product offerings. An ideal candidate for this role should have extensive experience in designing robust and secure digital platforms, strong experience with Python and Docker, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across all levels and teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Act as an individual contributor to design and be responsible for quality & security of SAIL’s products
  • Act as a trusted advisor for senior leadership to facilitate long term decision making
  • Develop designs and processes to ensure a fault tolerant, testable, and diagnosable platform
  • Produce easy to understand design documents for technical audiences
  • Work closely with Product Owner to scope out and design functionality
  • Work closely with Software Engineers to review code to ensure high quality and robust error handling
  • Communicate work progress, and estimates to Engineering management

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of professional software development + architecture experience
  • Proven experience of designing robust and secure digital platforms, including diagnosing failures
  • Strong knowledge of Application & Security architecture design patterns and industry standards
  • Strong experience with Python
  • Strong experience with Docker
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure
  • High attention to detail

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience using Big Data tools such as: Apache Spark and/or Hadoop
  • Experience with AWS, Google Cloud

Healthcare Project Manager - Contract

Healthcare Project Manager

Our company was founded by researchers and professors from MIT and is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This role is a fully remote position with EST working hours.

The Secure AI Labs team is looking to hire a contract Healthcare Project Manager, working approximately 10 hours a week, with potential to go full-time in mid-2023. Reporting to the VP of Operations, the person in this role will initially manage the onboarding of 1 to 2 new projects along with ongoing project management of those projects, including scoping of requirements, timelines, and resources. This person will lead the hospital approval process, including working with the IRB, and the clinical trials, information security, hospital IT, legal, and compliance offices.  This job description is not meant to be exhaustive; employees may be asked to complete additional functions and duties as needed.   

 

Roles and Responsibilities   

  • Assist in the definition of customer-facing project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility 
    • Manage relationships with clients and relevant stakeholders 
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation 
    • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress 
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques 
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of 1 to 2 projects to start 
    • Ensure resource availability and allocation 
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget 
  • Perform risk management to minimize potential project risks 
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals 
    • Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques 
    • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis 
  • Proactively escalate project concerns or questions to senior management as needed 

Required Experience  

  • 5+ years of Project Management Experience, with 3+ years within a hospital and/or working directly with hospitals 
  • Experience launching health IT and data-driven projects within hospitals  
  • Experience managing clinical research projects 
  • Experience with managing hospital and research stakeholders (e.g., clinical trials office, IRB, information security, hospital IT, legal, compliance) 
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking 
  • Experience with project management software tools (i.e. Jira or Microsoft Project) 

Preferred Experience  

  • PMP Certification 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical field such as computer science, data science or engineering
