Our company was founded by researchers and professors from MIT and is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This role can be a fully remote position. Please note that working hours align with East coast time zones. Learn more about our company’s mission.

The Secure AI Labs team is looking to hire a full-time Platform Architect. The person in this role will act as an individual contributor responsible for advising the engineering team on platform designs and implementation processes. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Act as an individual contributor responsible for designing high quality, secure products
  • Develop designs and processes to ensure a fault tolerant, testable, and diagnosable platform
  • Work closely with Software Engineers to review code to ensure high quality and robust error handling
  • Work closely with Product Owner to scope out and design functionality
  • Produce easy to understand design documents for technical audiences
  • Communicate work progress, and estimates to Engineering management
  • Act as a trusted advisor for senior leadership to facilitate long term decision making

Required Experience

  • 8+ years of professional software development that includes architecting end to end platforms
  • Proven experience in shipping product features (release strategy in production environment, package versioning, disaster recovery, debugging, etc.)
  • Strong experience with Python
  • Strong experience with Docker
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in a small start-up environment
  • Experience with Data science tools and libraries
  • Experience designing and building data layers (ingestion, processing, storage, and querying)
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience using Big Data tools such as: Apache Spark and/or Hadoop
  • Strong knowledge of Application & Security architecture design patterns and industry standards

Salary Range

$150,000 – $170,000 USD + bonus + equity

2023 Internship - Software Engineering Intern

Term: 4, 8, 12 Months, or 16 months starting as soon as May 2023 (depends on school). The offer extended will align with all on-campus recruiting policies (specific to each person) around compensation and length of internship.

We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. An ideal candidate would be someone who enjoys software development and is not afraid to dig in and solve some hard problems. This opportunity would provide hands-on experience with real product development, along with exposure to all the components needed to deploy a project into a production system. The healthcare space has many technical challenges, privacy considerations, and security concerns to navigate. The Software Engineering Intern will be exposed to all those aspects of software development and will be expected to be actively involved in team meetings.

What you will do

As an intern, you will be treated like a full-time developer and will get to work on everything from tech selection to production code on our latest projects

  • Contribute to our product platform in the areas of web front-end, data engineering, statistical and machine learning, and cloud technologies
  • Closely work with our seasoned engineers following best practices
  • Participate in our scrum, design sessions and code reviews

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency with Python
  • Comfortable working with Linux command line interface
  • Passion for writing clean code and good documentation
  • Good communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas and concepts

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • Knowledge of REST API 
  • Exposure to Azure
  • Exposure to Docker
  • Exposure to MongoDB
  • Exposure to React

2023 Internship - Data Science Intern

We are looking for a Data Science Intern to join our data science division of the engineering team. The ideal candidate would be someone who enjoys data science and software development, and who is not afraid to dig in and solve some hard problems.  This opportunity would provide hands-on experience with product development and all the components needed to research and develop statistical and machine learning solutions in the healthcare industry.

What you will do

As an intern, you will be treated like a full-time data scientist, working on everything from research to production code on our latest projects

  • Contribute to our product platform in the areas of data engineering, statistical and machine learning, and cloud technologies
  • Closely work with our seasoned data scientists following best practices 
  • Participate in our scrum, design sessions and code reviews

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency with Python
  • Strong proficiency in Statistical Analysis
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning
  • Comfortable working with linux command line interface
